Hmm.
Seems the newz is kinda slackin today, but I'm sure
this is only a temporary stage...I've changed a
few things around here. Just a few bg colors and
such. Not much, but I won't have to hear, "I
can't see the links!" anymore. Decided on some
web-safe colors to use.

You
guys should head on over to Directron if you're
in the market for a brand new shiny Lian Li PC60USB
case. They've got a special going on. Buy a Lian
Li PC60 and get $1.00 ground shipping!!! Pretty
good, considering you're gonna pay 20 bucks normally
for the weight! Go
get one!
Globalwin
Heatsink Head 2 Head: CAKII38 vs SAK38
"GlobalWIN is a company
that needs no introduction in the overclockers
realm. With legendary coolers such as the huge
FDP32 and the screeching Delta mounted FOP38
under their belt, one would expect nothing less
higher performing coolers from them.
After the disappointing CAK38
and the WBK series, which saw other cooler brands
such as Alpha and Swiftech gaining a bigger
foothold in the ever competitive heatsink cooler
market. In retaliation and what we perceive
as an action in hoping to get their loyal customers
back, GlobalWIN has released a number of new
coolers, among which include the SAK38 and CAKII38."

on the Intel 815EP B0 chipset, the TUSL2-C streamlines
integrated motherboard features such as graphics
and audio, allowing power users to choose more
advanced VGA and sound cards. Ok, sounds good
to me, let's head out to the review shall we?"

I
happened upon these rare findings during my travels...
OC
Addiction dispenses a review on the popular Return
to Castle Wolfenstein.
"Almost
a decade ago with the release of Wolfenstein
3D, Id software ushered in the first person
shooter as a mainstream genre and did it in
style. After all, what could be more fun than
giving hordes of pixilated nazis a bad case
of lead poisoning? The answer apparently was
Not much The gaming public voted
with its feet and the FPS genre was here to
stay. A decade or so later we finally have a
follow-up to the classic Wolfenstein 3D in the
form of Return to Castle Wolfenstein, one of
the most eagerly anticipated titles of the last
year."
>Check
it out.
GamePC
breaks it down. The Asus A7M266-D AMD 760MPX Motherboard
review...
"Almost
exactly six months ago, AMD launched their first
ever multiprocessor systems in their company's
history. For AMD, this was a monumental step,
not only proving that they could technologically
create it, but that would actually be accepted
by corporate America. There were so many things
that could have gone wrong for AMD. Luckily,
nearly everything went right."

gonna make sure that annoying banner still works
though!...pfft..yep, if all my dough wasn't invested
in my new rig(yippie), I'd be Tek-sector.net in

one out....Cybernetics!! I found this at NY Times.
Shadowrun!! LAMO!!
"The
C-Leg is, in effect, a wearable computer, although
Otto Bock and other prosthetic-device makers
avoid the phrase. Beneath its carbon fiber composite
shell are two microprocessors that receive data
from a string of sensors at a rate of 50 times
a second. The processors' sophisticated software
coordinates a mechanical and hydraulic system
that allows the leg to switch seamlessly from
a rigid position that supports the user's weight
to a relaxed position that allows the user to
walk in a way that closely imitates a natural
gait."

Remember
everyone...Any newz you want posted...no doubt...It's
here!!
Hiya
guys and gals. Back for my latenight posts. Alright.
I've been searching for my new home on the web.
I'm sure you all are wondering about the bizhosting
deal. ha. Gonna go to an Apache, most likely.
One which implements PHP support...that's what
it's all about right now. It will allow alot more
options for gathering newz, the Sector Forumz
will be kickin, alot more postings, and it will
just make a cooler site for all.
You
guys are probably wondering why I talk so much,
why TS doesn't have any of it''s own reviews yet,
and why the site isn't completely functional.
Well...My answer is: everything is coming together,
so don't give up hope. I have some kickass reviews
coming up and my first mod. I've been planning
the case mod out for a while. I hate to screw
up a good surprise, but..I'll give you a hint.
H.R. Giger +.....ahhh, I better stop. Got a mobo
review comin up and a case reveiw..So, keep a
look out. And the site..well, when I upgrade to
a dot net URL...you'll see. Newz comin' up! <TS>

seeee...wadda we got here?
>Tom's
Hardware is having a water cooler roundup.
They got it goin on over there. Innovatek vs.
Swiftech?...Hmmmm. Good read here. Snip for ya:
"For
real gung-ho overclockers, the only CPU cooling
system even worth considering is a powerful
water cooler. These overclocking fanatics usually
remain far removed from the madding crowd of
fans of the low-grade, conventional coolers
on the market. After all, there's something
exhilarating about causing a stir at the next
big LAN party. And nothing will earn more respect
and admiration from the hardware fan as a water
cooler. In fact, water cooling systems are some
of the best cooling solutions for PC processors
available on the market. Sales for water coolers,
however, have remained subdued, which can be
explained by their incredibly high prices."

You
should also head over there and fill out a simple
survey for a chance to win a GeForce3 Ti200!!!
Not a bad deal at all. go nooow!! haha.

>Overclocker
Cafe has got a new review posted on the Titan
TTC-CUV1AB (Copper Chipset Cooler).
Pic Copyright Overclocker Cafe
"What seemed to be an impractical and expensive
way to make heatsinks several years ago has
now become the standard. Copper has become the
mainstay of most every high performance heatsink.
Copper having a higher thermal capacity is the
reason why. It was only a matter of time before
we began to see copper chipset coolers hit the
cyber shelves. Thermaltake broke the ice with
their copper Crystal ORB a few months back.
Thermaltake has ruled the high performance chipset
market with their Blue ORB and now the Crystal
ORB. The Titan folks saw an opportunity and
felt it time to lay siege to Thermaltakes
crown. Enter the Titan TTC-CUV1AB VGA cooler.
Solid copper construction AND it not blocking
a PCI slot if it is on a video card are a good
receipt for success. Lets take a closer
look at this little sink to see how it does
in the oven."
Oh
yes, and don't forget!!! Overlcocker Cafe has
2 contests going at once..here's the deal:
Contest # 1: The winner of the drawing gets to
pick ANY window kit plus ANY case light plus ANY
window appliqué offered on the Arena Computers
website.
Contest # 2: They are looking for a new site design
and want your design ideas. As it stands now,
the prize consists of a Cooler Guys Windtunnel
IV Case with an installed window kit, and an Alpha
PAL8045 with a Delta SHE fan.
So, if I were you people....I
would get my ass down there and enter!!!

"I
manage another day at work..all TOO exciting,
dispose of the all too familiar work clothing,
which seems to be bonded to my very skin, and
release from my weary mind the instances from
the extended work day. I reach for my TEK-SECTOR
keycard/retinal scanner device on the table and
proceed to the electro-magnetically locked security
doors. Unlocking the doors reveal a hardware strewn,
neon lit chamber with computer terminals and a
sense of calm. I sit at the desk and begin to

Someone's gotta be out there with some newz...
Explosive

"For
the longest time, GlobalWin has been known to
make affordable CPU, VGA, and hard drive coolers
and has now recently jumped into the PC enclosure
business. It seems as though aluminum based
cases are getting more and more popular while
rising in price. Although lightweight, aluminum
can be damaged very easily."
Check
this review out of the GlobalWin YCC-61F1 Server
Case straight from the guys at Explosive
Hardware.
"Motherboards,
they are probably the most important componant
in the system. Motherboards are far to often
overlooked more than the processor, or video
card. Shuttle Computer, a midsize company based
out of Taiwan was made famous in the socket-a
arena by their AK31 motherboard based on the
VIA KT266 chipset. Shuttle saw a pretty good
sucess with the AK31, but since is was on the
buggy KT266 chipset, some AMD760 based motherboards,
such as the EpoX 8K7A were doing better."
Hmmm.
Need I say more? Or, more like, need Hardware
Pub say anymore? However, I think you
might wanna read more though.
Perhaps
one more for the road...

"Just
what on earth is ATC? ATC which stands for Active
Thermal Convective system is Cooler Master's
main principle in designing their ATC line of
aluminum cases. Basically the case contains
4 80mm case fans from YS Tech mounted in strategic
locations, one behind, two up front and another
mounted like a blowhole on top of the case."

is a MUST READ. Check this great review out right.....about..........HERE!

"Since
the release of the K7 processor, AMD has been
gaining more and more market share in the desktop
arena. The release of the Athlon Thunderbird
and Athlon XP CPU's have further increased AMD's
presence in the market. While the Athlon and
Athlon XP have done well, AMD has not seen the
same types of increases in market share in the
high-end workstation/server market. AMD did
have the Athlon MP CPU which used the AMD 760
Chipset to provide for a dual Athlon platform,
but there was slow acceptance and only one motherboard
manufacturer stepped up to make boards with
this chipset at first."
